NYCOSH is concerned about the NYC Department of Investigation and Department of Buildings going after construction workers with allegedly fake OSHA cards as a strategy to make construction sites safer. We are asking the agencies to reconsider this misguided approach and have asked for a written response by October 30th.
“Employers/contractors have the sole legal responsibility of protecting worker health and safety on the job and they also have the power on the ground to ensure that this happens.
